Subsequent corrections:

15 September 2004: replaceString() indexing bug. Caused the procedure to malfunction sporadically if the replacement string was shorter than the removal string.
16 September 2004: quslfld_getFieldNameList() did not strip embedded blanks.
16 September 2004: quslfld_retrieveField() always returned *off.

All issues have been resolved and are corrected in the current download.

Bug fixes and corrections

getTokens - The string would not properly tokenize if the token used was a blank.
getDateStrMIL - The return string was only 10A varying, which is insufficient for this particular format. Expanded to 50A varying.
NOTE: The correction for this problem required a new procedure, so in order for the correction to take affect, you will need to recompile any *MODULE that uses this procedure and update the appropriate programs.

New Features and Additions

New Procedures - RNBDATES:

getDateWeekNum - Get the number of the week from a date.
getTSWeekNum - Get the number of the week from a timestamp.
getDateJulianNum - Get the julian number of the day from a date.
getTSJulianNum - Get the julian number of the day from a timestamp.
getDateQuarterNum - Get the Quarter number from a date.
getTSQuarterNum - Get the Quarter number from a timestamp.

New Service Program, RNBQUSLFLD:

quslfld_initialize - Initialize the service program. Use this procedure to populate the service program variables with the data for the desired file.
quslfld_getNumberOfFields - Get the number of fields in this file.
quslfld_getRecordFormatName - Get the record format name of this file.
quslfld_getRecordLength - Get the record length of this file.
quslfld_getRecordDescription - Get the record description of this file.
quslfld_getFieldNameList - Get the list of field names for this file.
quslfld_retrieveField - Populate the service program variables for a particular field. (Referred to as the "current field")
quslfld_getName - Get the name of the current field.
quslfld_getDataType - Get the data type of the current field.
quslfld_getFieldLength - Get the length of the current field.
quslfld_getDigits - Get the digits of the current field.
quslfld_getDecimals - Get the decimals of the current field.
quslfld_getFieldDescription - Get the description of the current field.
quslfld_getColumnHeading1 - Get the first column heading of the current field.
quslfld_getColumnHeading2 - Get the second column heading of the current field.
quslfld_getColumnHeading3 - Get the third column heading of the current field.
quslfld_getAlternateFieldName - Get the alternate field name of the current field.
quslfld_isNullAllowed - Returns whether or not the current field allows *NULL values.
quslfld_isVariable - Returns whether or not the current field is a variable length field.
quslfld_getDateTimeFormat - Get the date/time format of the current field.
quslfld_getDateTimeSeperator - Get the date/time seperator character of the current field.

Use this service program to work with IBM's QUSLFLD API. Includes the addition of the cp_uslfld /copy member.
